We’re just scanning for stories for the next Sky at Night news roundup, and apparently ESA think this image of hot gas in the middle of the Orion nebula (as seen in x-rays) looks ’somewhat like Santa Claus’. I can’t see it at all…

I haven’t read it, but perhaps they put it in a subordinate Claus . . .

If it was up to me to put it in one of the Galaxy Zoo threads, I’d go for the Galactic Animals thread as a nearly-decapitated blue snowman.

      Or, indeed, here:

Well, Chris, I stick by my recently decapitated blue snowman. And I hold copyright on that – I thought of it before you even started the competition. Oh, and if you go to http://www.livingspaceonline.com and are looking for it, it’s in Links, not Competitions. I’m curious as to what other people will come up with!

But is it the same as “my” bluey stuff on the forum? Sorry if that is obvious but I didn’t get it :-) Cheers!
