do you know how the hills were formed that we can see on the picture? I've read somewhere that Earth is the only planet with plate tectonics (in our solar system), so the hills can't have been pushed up by colliding plates. Is it an meteor impact site or something? And why wouldn't the structure have been eroded away?
There's probably an easy answer to this, but I couldn't find one (being no expert, just curious).
