Thanks for the link to your report on the funding debate – I gleaned more from it than most of the other stuff I have read on the subject recently. Keep up the good work. Sorry that I will miss your talk at the Flamsteed Group on Monday 7th (I have to work).

I’ve been following the funding crisis and NAM so I thank you very much for this report. It is obviously (potentially) sad news for places such as Jodrell Bank but let’s hope we can salvage something from it. You’re an excellent astronomer and a constant inspiration.
