As of today, Bang! is officially available in an American edition, published by the good people of Johns Hopkins Press. If you happen to be in and around LA, Brian is signing copies at Book Soup on the 6th May, but everyone else can now pick up a copy via Amazon for less than $20. This is the Bang! up to date edition, so you should get a copy now before anyone discovers dark matter.

The astronomer who did the translation for the German edition of “Bang!” told me that he sent a several pages of errors he found to the publisher and – after some resistance – was permitted to correct them. Wonder whether the U.S. edition has been vetted the same way, too …

He was great – although most were minor and I still disagree with him on some points! The US edition contains all the corrections we’ve noticed.

I got a copy of Bang! this Christmas and absolutely love it. I thought it was interesting of people like you, Brian May and Sir Patrick Moore to come together to write a book together and involve your studies with eachother. Interesting, especially because of your considerably different backgrounds.

I had heard of Brian May ( becasue Queen, which I am a big fan of) and Sir Patrick Moore. But I hadn’t heard your name too many times. And I wonder how you felt about working with two people such as Brian and Mr. Moore.
